I haven’t watched TNA Wrestling in a few weeks, but since things don’t usually change in that company and they have certain ways of booking things, I’m going to give some quick predictions for the pay per view which started 2 minutes ago.  If you’re not watching the pay per view and you don’t read spoilers, I’d be interested in your comments on the show as well with your predictions.

Let’s give it a whirl!

TNA TELLEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP
AJ Styles vs. champion Douglas Williams

I did hear on a two minute section of TNA ReAction the other week that if AJ Styles can’t get the belt back from Douglas Williams, he’s out of Immortal.  I think that’s the best for AJ Styles, so I hope it happens, but TNA will probably have him get the belt and find another way to get out of the group when he gets frustrated with them for other stuff.

Winner:  AJ Styles

TNA X DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP
Kazarian vs. champion Jay Lethal

I also heard that Immortal is trying to collect all the belts, and because Kaz works really well as part of the group and TNA doesn’t really seem to care about giving Jay Lethal long runs with the X Division Title these days, I’ll say that Kazarian gets the belt.

Winner:  Kazarian

FORMER TAG TEAM PARTNERS BATTLE
Bully Ray vs. Brother Devon

If I knew more about the history of their fued, I’d have a better chance predicting it.  Since they didn’t have a match on the last pay per view, I’ll say Bully Ray gets the victory to give his brother a reason to continue the feud.

Winner:  Bully Ray

TNA KNOCKOUTS CHAMPIONSHIP
Mickie James vs. champion Madison Rayne

Mickie James is a high profile acquisition to TNA, so the belt should end up on her, and tonight should be the beginning of her reign, appropriately at “Genesis”.

Winner:  Mickie James

TNA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
Beer Money vs. champions The Motor City Machine Guns

Beer Money has gone a while without the belts and the Machine Guns have had a good reign, so this would give Immortal a chance to have all the belts in their possession at once, so Beer Money gets the belts tonight.

Winners:  Beer Money

CHALLENGE MATCH
Rob Van Dam vs. Immortal’s Mystery Opponent

I’d say most people are sure that this is going to be the debut of Matt Hardy, so I won’t predict a real match.  I’d predict a screw job which doesn’t get a legit finish.  If I had to pick the winner, though I don’t think someone’s hand will be raised, I’ll go with “Mystery Opponent”.

Winner:  “Mystery Opponent” Matt Hardy

MIXED MARTIAL ARTS (MMA) MATCH
The return of Kurt Angle vs. Jeff Jarrett

Jeff Jarrett can’t be booked too strongly in this spot, but Kurt Angle can’t get the clean cut victory.

Winner:  Kurt Angle by count out or disqualification of some sort

#1 CONTENDERS MATCH: TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
“The Blueprint” Matt Morgan vs. Mr. Anderson

Mr Anderson has had some time off, so now it’s time for him to get his chance to main event a pay per view.  Matt Morgan should get the belt eventually, but for now, let’s go with a main event next month featuring Mr. Anderson.

Winner:  Mr Anderson

I do want to take a minute and congratulate TNA Wreslting on a few things:

– The night of their ppv, two hours before the event, the official website for their pay per view doesn’t have a list of the matches set to occur

– Samoa Joe and D’Angelo Dinero, two of the wrestlers who actually get a reaction from the fans, aren’t even on the card.  That could be understandable if Jeff Hardy were booked, since he gets viewers to tune in, but he’s got the night off as well.
