Rotary is…

a rock band from central Connecticut. Since 2008, they’ve steadily played shows throughout the state. Some of their notable performances include:

opening for The Guess Who at The Durham Fair

a set with Peter Tork (of the Monkees) at the BeatExpo,

the Sizzlin’ Summer Fun Concert Series at Mohegan Sun,

the Traveler’s Championship Tee-Off at Blue Back Square,

Rock Your Face Off at Up Or On The Rocks

several shows at Toad’s Place.

Along with these performances, Rotary has become a mainstay at several area bars and pubs. Their set includes original music, as well as rock covers spanning five decade. In 2009, Rotary released an EP of original music called “Concert For No One”. They’ve also released several online-only EPs, including “Live At The Durham Fair” which was recorded during their 2010 headlining set.

Along with a great set of originals, Rotary’s set features an ever-expanding selection of rock songs from artists including The Rolling Stones, Billy Joel, Bob Marley, Cream, Jack Johnson, Elton John, Los Lonely Boys, Led Zeppelin, Coldplay, The Beatles, Eric Clapton, Dire Straits, The Who, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Weezer, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Wings, and many more.

The groups is composed of the brothers, Jack and Bob Todaro, Andy Wakeman & Dan Matthews. All four are a close knit group that have been able to come together to achieve their dreams. As a fellow artist, I’m very happy to see that the group is able to continue to play together, record together and perform together especially in this time where its hard for groups to stay together.

AS a friend of Bob and Jack, I love to see that they are doing what they love and enjoying it along the way. I used to go to their earlier shows and you could just see the fun vibe the group has whenever they play. I’m happy that they are also mixing in some of their own music with the cover songs that they play. This is why I call them a band of brothers because they connect like a family who decided to bring their love of music to their fans.

If you are in the Connecticut area and feel like hearing some good music feel free to check their website and catch a show or feel free to download some of their music. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed.
