After years of debate and negotiations, the Super Fight has been signed! Legendary boxer Floyd Mayweather will fight MMA Superstar Conor McGregor on August 26th! Unless you can get tickets to see the Junior Middleweight (154 lbs) Boxing Bout at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas (good luck affording those tickets), you can watch it on Showtime PPV with potentially one of the largest audiences world-wide, given that the fight tests the skills of an MMA fighter against a boxer who is undefeated in 49 fights.

The fight brings Mayweather out of retirement, having defeated Andre Berto back in September 2015 in what many thought was his final professional bout. Although it has yet to be announced how much money either fighter will earn for the fight, it’s believed that Mayweather will once again draw a sum of over $100 million dollars. While there are plenty of other unknowns as well, here are some things we do know:

It will be boxing only, no kicking or other aspects of mixed martial arts.

The odds are considerably in Mayweather’s favor (-1100 is what Westgate SuperBook in Las Vegas currently has it set for Mayweather, +700 for McGregor)

The tale of the tape actually seems to favor McGregor from multiple standpoints:

The Mayweather Camp looks to also utilize the PPV to showcase some of their other talent on the card:

Badou Jack, with only one loss on his record in 24 fights (21-1-2, 12 KOs), moving up to light heavyweight after vacating the super middleweight world championship belt back in January to move up in weight class;

Gervonta Davis, undefeated in 18 fights (17 KOs), the IBF Junior Lightweight champion.

In terms of HOW this fight came about, in terms of the two talking about one another on television and on the radio, here’s a good montage courtesy of Fight Focus:

So of course I have to ask, who do you WANT to win, and who do you THINK will win?
