I’ve kept track of the movies I’ve seen in 2010, and instead of traditional write-ups, I’ve got one sentence reviews that include my rating of the movie on a scale of 1 to 5 stars, the date I saw it and the format I saw it in, be it the theater, DVD or otherwise.
I’ll be posting these five at a time throughout the remainder of the year.
As you can see this article doesn’t start with “1”, you might click the “One Sentence Reviews” tag under the title of this article to see the others.
6 – The Lake House (*) – The Lake House has to be the worst waste of 99 minutes ever. [1/20/2010, Format: DVD]
7 – Premonition (*) – Speed 3 would’ve been better. [1/21/2010, Format: DVD]
8 – District 9 (* *) – I think the hype ruined this one for me. [1/29/2010, Format: DVD]
9 – Bee Movie (* *) – Jerry wasn’t so funny as a bee. [1/30/2010, Format: DVD]
10 – Open Season (* * *) – Sony Pictures Animation did NOT disappoint. [2/13/2010, Format: DVD]
Lake House had a decent premise, but it definitely wasn’t a guy movie. To see a movie which uses a similar premise, check Frequency.
District 9 was one of my favorites of the year. Sorry to hear the hype ruined it for you.
Didn’t see the other three.
Open Season was good. Lawrence and Kutcher weren’t nearly as annoying as I thought they’d be. I wouldn’t waste your time with Premonition. I was going through a Sandra Bullock phase at that time, and much like Lake House, it was another one that I hadn’t seen.
