The Big Apple has done it again, and due to two huge trades that took place today, superstars are headed to New York.

Earlier today, the New York Rangers brought in one of the NHL’s biggest prizes by trading the Columbus Blue Jackets for Rick Nash.

Nash is a five-time All Star who won a Gold Medal at the 2010 Winter Olympics. He has netted at least 30 goals in 6 of his past 7 seasons in the NHL (with the other season netting only 27), averaging over 30 assists in those seasons as well. During that span, the Blue Jackets only made the playoffs one of those seasons.

In a bigger trade, the New York Yankees obtained international superstar Ichiro Suzuki from the Seattle Mariners.

A 10-time All Star, Suzuki spent his entire MLB career with the Seattle Mariners, winning 10 Gold Gloves, multiple batting titles and one American League MVP with the squad. Prior to crossing the Pacific Ocean, Ichiro spent 8 years in Nippon Professional Baseball with the Orix BlueWave.

Details on the trades when I’m done being sick.
