Yesterday I brought to you my American League playoff preview and predictions, so today its the National League’s turn. Mind you, Im not a National League kinda-guy. It bugs me that they still let the pitcher hit and basically be an automatic out. But thats neither here nor there. Here is my preview and prediction.

Milwaukee Brewers
Believe it or not, but I picked the Brew Crew at the end of last season to win the NL. That was before the Phillies loaded up. But this team is a still a heavy contender to not only win the National League pennate but to win the World Series! (Depending on who comes out of the AL) They can mash with the best of them and with a healthy Zach Greinke, Gallardo, Wolf and Axford closing games, look out.

Arizona D-Backs
Man do I hate Ian Kennedy. The former Yankee who did absolutely nothing while with them is a 20-game winner this year. But I wonder if he is benefiting from playing the soft NL West? I really like Justin Upton’s game and he could be the difference maker against who ever they play in that first round.

St. Louis Cardinals
Mark my words: The Cards will make the playoffs. They have the best 3-4-5 hitters among the playoff teams in Pujols, Holliday and Berkman. They also have a very solid rotation. Be careful because this team can be dangerous.

Atlanta Braves
As I write this, the Braves are 1.5 games ahead of the Cardinals for the Wild Card, but the Braves are not going to make the playoffs. Their offense stinks more than their pitching. I even debated with myself about who choked more this September, the Red Sox or the Braves?

Philadelphia Phillies
Three reasons why the Phillies will win the National League pennate:

Roy Halladay
Cliff Lee
Cole Hamels

Great pitching always beats great hitting. Case closed.
