In last night’s fight between Floyd Mayweather and Victor Ortiz, the superfight everyone wants to see either gained momentum or lost some of its luster.

As we continue to build up to a potential fight between Floyd “Money” Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao, both fighters continue to take on fights with different opponents until the terms can be agreed upon, Mayweather took on the challenge of Victor Ortiz in a title bout, and the result of the fight has some people saying that Mayweather is a cheap shot artist.

You be the judge, getting not only video of the end of the fight, but also listen to what Mayweather says after the fight:

Do I consider it a cheap shot? I’m not decided yet. They did tap gloves a few times after the headbutt from Ortiz – both 15 seconds into the video and 24 seconds into the video. After they got brought back together, Mayweather let him again apologize, but Ortiz looked hesitant to keep fighting and he didn’t defend himself when they were clearly about to start boxing again. Did Mayweather realize that Ortiz wasn’t back in “fight mode” yet? Probably, but how long should he have waited?

Does this make you want to see Pacquiao vs Mayweather more than you did before? I’m not a huge boxing fan, but I’m certainly more interested in seeing Manny Pacquiao win that superfight than I was before.
