I’m either going to make your day or put you in a darkened state of agony as Ubisoft seems to keep making different versions of Assassin’s Creed III for you to buy. If you’re a fan of choice and options, I’ve broken down the confirmed retail versions of the game and what you’ll get in them for you below. Brace yourself, your head may begin to spin.

Standard Retail Edition

Comes With: Well…the game. Also, any preorder bonuses from various retailers.

Limited Edition
Price: Standard $119.99 USD
Comes With: With this big guy, you’re getting a very detailed 9in stature of protagonist Connor complete with American Flag and tomahawk. There’s also a metal Assassin’s belt buckle and a huge (28in x 48in) Colonial America Assassin’s flag. On the game’s side, you’re getting the Lost Mayan Ruins mission.

UbiWorkshop Edition
Price: Standard $109.99 USD
Comes With: If you’re a fan of Assassin’s Creed lore, then you’ll want to check this edition out over on the UbiWorkshop website. In addition to the game you’ll be getting the very detailed Assassin’s Creed Encyclopedia Volumn 2 which covers basically all aspects of the franchise including character bios, the story, the different factions, and so much more. In addition, you’re also getting the graphic novel, Assassin’s Creed: Project 4, which introduces Daniel Cross and his ancestor, Nikoli Orelov.

Digital Deluxe Edition (PC Only)

Comes With: You’ll be getting your hands on all 3 preorder single player missions, Ghost of War, A Dangerous Secret, and Lost Mayan Ruins (all explained below). This pack comes with a 24cm figure of the assassin, Connor, a lithograph, a steelbook case featuring artwork by comic artist Alex Ross and George Washington’s notebook. You’ll also get exclusive content including a bonus single player mission called “Ghost of War” which sees the Templars beginning to turn the tide of war in their favor. Finish the mission to unlock the Pontiac’s War Club. Another mission which has Connor traveling to an old Mayan pyramid which will earn you Captain Kidd’s fabled cutlass.
