Veteran defenseman Tom Poti is out 2 to 3 weeks after taking a puck to the eye in Monday’s Game 6.
Casual Capitals fans might not know Poti, but I can assure you that #3 is easily the best pure defenseman for Washington.
With Game 7 coming up Wednesday, April 28th, the Capitals are surely going to miss Poti at the blue line. They have called-up Karl Alzner from Hershey to take Tom Poti’s roster spot for the time being.
