Being happy is no longer the only reason to say that eating bacon helps you live a longer life. A university in Switzerland has conducted a study which gives reason to believe that one of the substances contained in bacon helps the eater live longer.

When devouring some bacon, you get Vitamin B3, also known as “niacin”. Researchers at ETH Zurch, including their Energy Metabolism professor Michael Ristow, have determined that the vitamin “tricks the body into believing that it is exercising”.

Initial tests have just been on roundworms, with mice coming next, but for now, this is something of a celebration.
