As the final pay per view before the big event, WWE Elimination Chamber 2014 is the welcome mat for WrestleMania XXX. At the end of the pay per view, the main event for WrestleMania XXX will be set as we find out who will be the WWE World Heavyweight Champion following the Elimination Chamber match. There’s also plenty more to look forward to at the event:

What becomes of John Cena and Daniel Bryan? Although you might suspect that one of those guys is going to walk out of this pay per view with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, but one of them won’t be. The WWE Elimination Chamber 2014 event could very well give us an idea what the non-winner will be doing at WrestleMania XXX. Is Kane involved in Daniel Bryan’s future? Will John Cena pick back up against The Wyatt Family? Could they both end up losing to the likes of Randy Orton or Brock Lesnar?

Speaking of Brock Lesnar, wasn’t he saying he wanted to get a shot at the big belt not long ago? Five challengers get an opportunity tonight, and with Brock Lesnar left off the list, might he try to find a way into the Elimination Chamber match? Will they talk about the former champ even if he doesn’t show up? There have been rumors that he has an opponent all lined up for WrestleMania already…

Whether he fights Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania XXX or not, might The Undertaker send a message to his future opponent during tonight’s pay per view?  He wouldn’t need to even show up to make a splash; all it would take would be a well-timed flicker of the lights and his trademark GONG. There are quite a few people he could want a match with, including one guy who made big waves at two pay per views over the last six months…

The Shield is set to take on The Wyatt Family in a six-man tag match, and some people are predicting that Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose are very close to splitting up the group because of tensions between them. Ambrose might be the current United States Champion, but Reigns dominated Survivor Series and set a record for eliminations at Royal Rumble. And what of Seth Rollins?

They’re six-time TAG team CHAMPIONS of the WOOOOOOORLD… but are the New Age Outlaws primed to be beaten by the red-hot Usos? And there had been rumors for the past couple years that Cody Rhodes and Goldust were interested in facing one another at WrestleMania, and the Elimination Chamber pre-show match might serve as the second bit of tension-building between the duo (that’s right, I said second).

Jack Swagger is a former World Heavyweight Champion, but is Big E on too big of a roll to be beaten for the Intercontinental Championship this week?

There’s also the blood feud between Titus O’Neil and Darren Young on the card, which is something that I’m really interested in seeing, as Titus O’Neil is very likely to get a singles title reign in the next six months.

All of this, and then there’s the fact that the WWE takes a step into a new era starting Monday with the WWE Network and a few really big things rumored for WrestleMania XXX to go along with the announcement that Hulk Hogan is hosting the event.

Just like they do almost every week, Jon and Rob discussed these topics and more on the GuysNation Wrestling Podcast. Listen directly here, or choose one of the other options:

  • On the pre-show, they both fully expect that Rybaxel will emerge victorious.
  • They’re split as to whether Darren Young will be able to defeat the man who decided that the Prime Time Players had run its course, but they do believe the feud is far from over.
  • Batista’s going to destroy Alberto Del Rio, but there’s another question at hand that gets considered.
  • They both predicted that the New Age Outlaws will retain the Tag Team Championships, talking about how this is setting up something bigger.
  • They were in agreement that The Wyatt Family will defeat The Shield, though had slightly different perspectives on how it would all go down.
  • Potentially a surprise to many listeners, they didn’t agree about the outcome of the Intercontinental Championship match, nor the winner of the Elimination Chamber.

To hear WHY they made those predictions, you’ll have to give it a listen.
