As I like to do predictions for sports and sports entertainment events, I decided to try my hand at picking winners for tonight’s Against All Odds pay per view, produced by TNA Wrestling.

The Card:

LADDER MATCH FOR THE TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE
Jeff Hardy vs. (c) Mr. Anderson

SPECIAL STIPULATIONS
Jeff Jarrett vs. Kurt Angle

KNOCKOUTS TITLE – LAST KNOCKOUT STANDING
Mickie James vs. (c) Madison Rayne

STREET FIGHT
Bully Ray vs. Brother Devon

Matt Hardy vs. Rob Van Dam

The Pope vs Samoa Joe

X Division #1 Contenders Triple Threat
Max Buck vs Jeremy Buck vs Robbie E

Beer Money and Scott Steiner vs. Rob Terry, Gunner and Murphy

And TNAWrestling.com confirms that Kazarian will defend the X Division Title on the pay per view!

My Predictions

LADDER MATCH FOR THE TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE
Jeff Hardy vs. (c) Mr. Anderson

Given Jeff’s legal troubles, I don’t think they’re going to be featuring him prominently as the top guy in TNA Wrestling for the next few months, so I see no reason why he should get the belt back.  While it’s always a possibility that he’ll be champion by the time the night is over, given the way that TNA has booked itself into holes before, I hope that’s not the case.  I’m predicting that TNA will be smart with this one.
Prediction: Mr. Anderson retains the belt

SPECIAL STIPULATIONS
Jeff Jarrett vs. Kurt Angle

Special stipulations?  Apparently if Kurt Angle wins the match, he gets custody of his kids.  If Jarrett wins, then Kurt has to walk his ex-wife down the isle for a ceremony in which Jeff Jarrett and his new wife Karen will be renewing their vows.  Because I’m sure TNA wants to have some sort of wedding-style ceremony, I’m almost sure that Jarrett will find a way to win and extend the feud between he and the Olympic Gold Medalist.
Prediction: Jeff Jarrett wins

KNOCKOUTS TITLE – LAST KNOCKOUT STANDING
Mickie James vs. (c) Madison Rayne

It’s about time to stop messing around with Mickie James and start letting her hold the belt, and while TNA does a lot of things wrong, I’d like to think they’re going to get this one right.  They have a history of missing opportunities with the Knockouts Division, but they’ve been getting better, and there’s no reason to extend the reign of Madison Rayne.
Prediction: Mickie James wins the belt

STREET FIGHT
Bully Ray vs. Brother Devon

Want to extend the feud and have people be interested?  Give it to Brother Devon.  Want to continue the feud and have people lose interest?  Bully Ray.
Prediction: Brother Devon

Matt Hardy vs. Rob Van Dam

As this is being sold as Rob Van Dam’s way of continuing up the ladder to get his hands on Jeff Hardy… I’ll predict that TNA takes a left turn and goes on a RVD vs Matt Hardy feud detour for a little while.
Prediction:  Matt Hardy

The Pope vs Samoa Joe

I have to applaud TNA for getting this feud going, as both of these guys should be featured week after week and neither should miss a pay per view.  As for the winner, one of these guys needs to eventually go heel, and that guy needs to be Samoa Joe.  Based on that, I’d say that The Pope either needs a questionable win or Joe needs to get himself disqualified.
Prediction: The Pope

X Division #1 Contenders Triple Threat
Max Buck vs Jeremy Buck vs Robbie E

Conventional wisdom would hold that one of the Bucks would win the match, but that wouldn’t necessarily fit with what TNA has going, right?  Do they go with the wisdom or continue to stray from it?  I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt.
Prediction: Jeremy Buck

Beer Money and Scott Steiner vs. Rob Terry, Gunner and Murphy

Scott Steiner is a legend.  Beer Money are one of the best tag teams in the business.  Gunner and Murphy are glorified security guards with a little bit of training.  Rob Terry is a muscle-head who is improving his skills.  It’s obvious which team SHOULD win, right?
Prediction: Beer Money and Scott Steiner

X Division Title defense
??? vs (c) Kazarian

Because TNAWrestling.com hasn’t told us who Kaz’s opponent will be, I tend to thin this is just going to be some sort of quick match where Kaz builds up his “heel points” by getting an easy win…. even if he has to cheat to do it.
Prediction: Kazarian
