The next PPV in TNA is Turning Point, which is actually tonight (November 7, 2010). 8 matches have been confirmed for the card, and while the card doesn’t exactly APPEAL on paper, it could actually be a pretty good show if they let some of the matches get some exposure. The following is the list of matches, and what MY predictions will be, and all you have to do is reply to this with your predictions.

Here we go!

TNA Championship
Jeff Hardy (c) vs. Matt Morgan

Originally scheduled to be Jeff Hardy vs. Mr. Anderson, the plan was changed a little bit when Ken Anderson suffered a concussion. Storyline wise, Matt Morgan was playing up the fact that he is all against wrestlers not wrestling when they are not 100%, especially after a concussion. When Eric Bischoff tried to get Mr. Anderson to come out to the ring to wrestle him, holding a contract for the match, Matt Morgan came out instead and beat down Bischoff and signed the contract himself, setting up the match.

CrazyBoy prediction: Jeff Hardy wins. I don’t see Morgan quite ready to carry the company yet. Jeff Hardy only won the title last PPV and is just now getting in his heel persona. Plus, Hardy needs to retain to set up the inevitable Jeff Hardy/Mr. Anderson match down the road.

Tag Team Championships
Motor City MachineGuns (c) vs. Team 3D

Team 3D announced their retirement the Impact after Bound for Glory, they wanted one more match to try to get their 24th tag team title reign and they wanted it against the Machine Guns, who they called the “best tag team in the world today.” Needless to say, the Machineguns accepted and we have what is “supposedly” Team 3D’s sendoff match.

Crazyboy’s prediction: This is actually a tough one. Team 3D could win them as a thank you for all their years in the business and retire as TNA Tag Team Champions. On the other hand, if the Machine guns win, they can say that they beat one of the best tag teams of ALL time. I’m going to go with my gut here and say that the Machine guns retain.

X-Division Championship
Jay Lethal (c) vs. Robbie E

Robbie E, doing that STUPID shore gimmick, got a shot for the X-Division championship when he beat Jay Lethal in a Street Fight match a couple of weeks back…. yeah, that’s really about all the buildup this match has gotten.

Crazyboy’s prediction: Jay Lethal retains. Robbie E is not ready to carry a title yet in TNA and Jay Lethal is very much over right now. Give Robbie E a little bit of time to hopefully flesh out his character and whatnot and maybe somewhere down the line, he may be ready for a run.

Knockout’s Championship
Tara (c) vs. Mickie James

Mickie James made her debut in TNA not too long before Bound for Glory and already is making her splashes. Tara, in her second stint in TNA, won the Knockout’s Championship at Bound for Glory. Immediately after the match, Mickie mentioned that she wanted a shot at the title. After being the special guest referee of a match and being in a couple of matches, Mickie gets her shot.

CB’s prediction: Mickie wins. Tara (Victoria) is known to put people over a LOT and at her time of her career, It would not surprise me in the least bit to see her drop the title to Mickie.

EV2 vs. Fortune
Winner gets to fire a member of the losing team

This feud has been going on long enough, in my honest opinion, but I’m glad they are putting a LITTLE twist to it by letting the winning team fire a member of the losing team.

CB Prediction: Fortune wins. I’ve been reading that Rhino and Sabu’s contract are about to expire and they are not going to re-sign them so I would think that they would be one of the two that will get fired.

Samoa Joe vs. Jeff Jarrett

I haven’t watched Impact in a bit to be honest, so I don’t know exactly HOW the feud came to be, but I know that Jeff Jarrett knocked Samoa Joe off the entry ramp and then when he tried to apologize, Joe attacked Jarrett.

CB Prediction: Samoe Joe wins. Just a hunch feeling really. I just don’t see Jarrett winning. Joe needs the win to get himself back in the limelight, even for a little bit.

RVD vs. Tommy Dreamer

Trust has been an issue with this feud, with RVD having trust issues with the other members of EV2, especially after what Abyss did to him. Tommy Dreamer took the words and actions of RVD to heart and challenged him to a match.

CB Prediction: RVD wins. Tommy Dreamer is on his way out too before long, and RVD is a former TNA world champion. It will be a good match, but I don’t see Dreamer winning

Lumberjack Match
Abyss vs. D’Angelo Dinero

Typical Abyss feud. Abyss attacks the Pope. Pope wants revenge. Abyss wants to take out Popes Congregation. Make it a lumberjack match with members of Pope’s congregation and Abyss’s choosing.

CB prediction: Abyss wins. They need to make him a monster again. These last few losses haven’t made him look very good and the loss won’t hurt the pope THAT much.
