TNA Feast or Fired – The “Fired” Options
At the upcoming TNA pay per view – Final Resolution – there’s going to be a “Feast or Fired” match. For those of you who are unfamiliar with this – which could be quite a few of you, given TNA’s ratings – basically a bunch of TNA wrestlers compete to try to get a briefcase containing one of four items:
- TNA World Title shot
- TNA X-Division Title shot
- TNA Tag Division Title shot
- A Pink Slip
Yep, you read the last item correctly, one of the people who grab a briefcase which causes them to get fired from TNA. High risk, high reward.
Looking over the roster, I’d like to consider the likely options to get each of the four briefcases. For this article, I’d like to focus on those who I feel will contend for the…
Sheik Abdul Bashir – The competitor formerly known as Daivari used to have a decent amount of heat, but in my opinion, he gets lost a bit in the World Elite. Unless TNA is considering giving him another push, they may as well get rid of him. I wouldn’t be against it. He’s got potential, but I wouldn’t miss him if he were gone.
Cody Deaner – I haven’t liked this angle since it started, and I don’t see Cody with much of a future in TNA, and this would be a decent chance to get rid of him… though I’d be perfectly happy if they didn’t waste “Feast or Fired” on Deaner and just quietly fired him on a random Wednesday afternoon.
Jesse Neal – What value does he have? He seems to be joining Rhino & Team 3D, but is he needed? Is he an up-and-comer within TNA? I can name a dozen guys who I’d rather see get some television time than Neal. Maybe he’ll prove me wrong and end up being entertaining, but I somewhat doubt it.
Kip James – He’s listed on the roster, but he really should be gone. I don’t want to see him on my television again. Seriously. I almost didn’t put him on this list, just because I don’t want to see him in the Feast or Fired” match. Take the Cody Deaner treatment and just fire him tomorrow quietly. Actually, keep him on backstage if you want, I don’t care, just no more on my TV.
Raven – I wouldn’t be happy with Raven getting fired, but for one reason or another, TNA doesn’t seem to value him as much as I think they should… unless his past couple exits from TNA were due to injury or Raven asking for time away. Either way, I could see him being an option, and if he opens a briefcase and it has a pink slip in it, I won’t be happy about it at all – no matter the reason.
Rob Terry – The guy’s HUGE, but why keep him around? He’s far inferior to all the other members of World Elite, and I don’t think he’s going to have a decent match with anyone, so just cut him now.
Shark Boy – I haven’t seen every episode of Impact in the past few months, but I try to at least read about the results if I can’t see them for myself, and I don’t believe I’ve seen any Shark Boy in quite a while. I didn’t like him all that much when he was on the show every week – whether he was doing his Austin-ripoff gimmick or not.
Suicide – He seems to be a highly popular character, though TNA can’t seem to decide whether to push him or have him in filler matches, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they decided to pull the plug on the video game inspired character and bring back Kaz from underneath the mask. Not that it would be a good idea, but I wouldn’t be surprised by it. In fact, it’s the option I feel is most likely.
