Disclaimer:  This article isn’t meant to take sides.  I’m not attempting to show support for President Obama or the political / social issue at hand.  This is not a political site, nor do I want it to be.

I saw an article on the internet today (I’m not sure the exact path, but it involved looking at a different story from Google News) which I found to be interesting, if not funny.

According to the HuffingtonPost, President Obama responded to a heckler during a speech on Tuesday.  Though it’s unclear what topic he was speaking about during the fundraiser for Barbara Boxer (Democrat, California), the heckler wanted Obama to speed up his actions regarding Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, and while the crowd booed the interruption, Obama reportedly took a moment to respond, giving the guy some critcism in the process.

“Two points I want to make,” Obama said of the heckler, “he really should like buy a ticket to, if he wants to demonstrate, buy a ticket to a guy who doesn’t support his point of view.”

The other point, Obama said, “is maybe he didn’t read the newspapers because we are working with congress as we speak to roll back ‘don’t ask, don’t tell.'”

POTUS further dinged the man: “I actually think he does read the newspapers because he wasn’t as – his heart wasn’t in it – he said ‘Do it faster.’ C’mon man…”

The rest of the article can be found, as noted above, in the Huffington Post.
