Amy Adams is Lois Lane

The upcoming Superman film “Man Of Steel” continues to fill out its cast, and Amy Adams has been named the choice for Lois Lane.  Zack Snyder revealed his choice in an interview with the LA Times and has said she will have a “linchpin role” in the film.  No word yet on whether the actress, famous for having red hair, will be asked to dye it black to match the typical portrayal of the Daily Planet reporter, who has at times been drawn in comic books as a redhead.  (Source:

Keeping with MAN OF STEEL, apparently Chicago and other areas of Illinois have been chosen for outdoor filming locations.  Plano is rumored to be the pick for Smallville, and with fewer than 10,000 residents it could be an appropriate option.  (Source:

The Justice League by Alex Ross

The Justice League (Alex Ross)

Keeping with DC Comics, it was recently revealed in an interview with Warner Bros president Jeff Robinov that he intends to combat Marvel’s upcoming AVENGERS film by producing a JUSTICE LEAGUE feature for 2013.  The project was initially scheduled for 2009 but got shelved due to the writer’s strike.  There’s no specific word on whether or not (MAN OF STEEL’s) Henry Cavill will portray Superman in the 2013 project, but other names have been thrown into the mix for other characters, and it doesn’t involve Christian Bale as Batman.  Armie Hammer, best known for playing both Winklevoss twins in SOCIAL NETWORK, has been targeted to portray the Dark Knight, though no casting decisions are final.  Hammer already has three projects set for 2012, with “J.EDGAR” currently filming, SNOW WHITE in pre-production along with SERPENT GIRL.  (Sources: and IMDB.COM)

Dick Tracy is likely to get a bump in popularity in the coming years.  Warren Beatty is said to be considering his options on a new project (unknown whether it will be in the form of a television series or feature film) in addition to bringing the 1990 film to home viewers in the Blu-Ray format.
