In what was the biggest match between rivals Manchester United and Manchester City, Vincent Kompany became a hero in the first half after heading home what would become the game winning goal for Manchester City.

This match was big because not only could the winner have bragging rights in the City of Manchester, but the winner would get a very important 3 points in the chase for the English Premier League title. Both teams have had the title in their sights just to see the other team come back and contend for it again. It was estimated that 650 million people would watch this one match alone.

Manchester City ended up winning off the lone goal from Vincent Kompany. The win got them the 3 points to tie them with Manchester United for first place in the EPL. Manchester City has the advantage though because they have an 8 goal differential over United. Each team has 2 games to play, so these last 2 weeks will be very hectic and you should be able to see some great soccer.

As for the game itself, there were very few chances on either side as both teams didn’t want to give up a counter-attack chance to the other team. The tension on the field ended up spilling over as we witnessed both coaches yelling at each other while being separated by the 4th official on the sidelines.

If you have never watched a soccer match before I recommend watching any game that involves either Manchester team during the next two weeks as both will be pushing for wins and making the other team have to pull out all the stops to win the coveted English Premier League title.
