Twice in the past few days there has been an incident which just goes to show how sad and stupid segments of our “great” society can be.  It’s not often that I find two events which take place which are as high profile as what has taken place here in the latter half of March 2011.

Lawyer Hypocrisy

Clark County Deputy District Attorney David Schubert

Clark County Deputy District Attorney David Schubert

How do you spell hypocrisy? The defense attorney who prosecuted BOTH Paris Hilton and Bruno Mars has allegedly been busted on similar charges of cocaine possession! Someone should tell David Charles Schubert, the Deputy District Attorney for Clark County, that next time a case comes across his desk which involves a legal infraction that he (allegedly) takes part in, that he should recuse himself, else he’ll find himself guilty of hypocrisy! Oh wait, he won’t get to practice law again, so it won’t matter.  From what I’m hearing, he’s spent upwards of $1000 a month to feed his cocaine habit, setting up some sort of elaborate scheme through which he buys the drugs.

Pop Star Anger Management

This morning, Tuesday, March 22nd, Chris Brown was on Good Morning America (GMA) promoting his new album F.A.M.E.  Apparently he got angry about some of the questions from Robin Roberts regarding former girlfriend Rihanna, whom he was arrested for “savagely beating” in 2009.  Robin Roberts isn’t new to the Chris Brown / Rihanna situation.  She had interviewed Brown at his house two years ago, just months after Chris plead guilty to the felony assault charges, so the tone she tried to present with today’s interview was one of “moving on from the event”.  She commends him for being good about answering questions, and she attempted to talk about Brown and Rihanna having potentially reconciled, but Brown moved talk towards his album.  Brown then takes talk towards wanting to avoid “the haters” and Roberts then tries to get him to mention that the music has helped him to move forward from the events of two years ago.  Apparently the calm responses Chris Brown gave on the morning show didn’t accurately portray how he was feeling about the situation, and he has allegedly lashed out.

Several sources are reporting that Chris Brown threw a fit backstage after the interview, causing such a ruckus that security was called.  During the tantrum, TMZ reports that a window was broken with a chair, with shards of glass falling down onto 43rd & Broadway. Taking his disapproval public, Brown posted on Twitter “I’m so over people bringing this past s**t up!!! Yet we praise Charlie sheen and other celebs for there bulls**t”, a post which has since been removed.

Really, Chris?  Breaking windows with chairs?  Complaining about the interview on Twitter?  Time for some anger management classes.
