Fellow GuysNation contributor, FlaggLives, recently delved into a new comic book entitled “Welcome to Hoxford”, and if you’re interested in horror-themed content, be it movies or novels, this comic book is probably right up your alley. To get you acquainted to this comic book and to FlaggLives as a writer, I posed a few questions to him in regards to this title.
GuysNation: I heard you’re reading a comic book called “Welcome to Hoxford”. How
many issues have you read so far?
FlaggLives: I’ve read all four issues.
GN: On a scale of 1 to 10, how much are you enjoying it?
FlaggLives: 8.9 it’s a really enthralling story, anyone who appreciates horror comics should definitely seek this series out.
GN: What got you interested in reading it?
FlaggLives: I had heard it focused on lycanthropy, and being a longtime mark for all things werewolf, I couldn’t resist the chance to check it out.
FlaggLives: Several mentally disturbed inmates are delivered to a private asylum that allows no outside personnel. The plot twist comes when we realize that all members of the staff are bloodthirsty werewolves and this entire asylum was built to provide a setting for “the hunt.” One particular inmate stands out as a predator among predators though- Ray Delgado, a badass among badasses. Ray’s a serial killer with a laundry list of mental illnesses, and once the carnage begins, the werewolves realize that maybe they’ve bitten off more than they can chew…
GN: How graphic is the violence?
FlaggLives: Very. This series is not for the faint of heart, it’s bloody, it’s sick, and it’s amazing. Ben Templesmith’s art is particularly twisted.
GN: How does this compare to other Werewolves-related works you’ve read?
FlaggLives: It’s unique. I’ve never seen a similar premise, and I think it plays on the theme that some regular human beings are even more fucked up than fictional monsters.
GN: Do you know who does the art or the storyline?
FlaggLives: Ben Templesmith is the writer and artist. His work is captivatingly dark, he’s also the artist behind the prominent vampire series “30 Days of Night.”
GN: Have you ever read anything by him before?
FlaggLives: I have, I’m a fan of his. Some of his best work in my opinion would be 30 Days of Night and Wormwood: Gentleman Corpse.

Thanks for this review, I will have to go check this comic out. It sounds very interesting.
Hey guys, (Flagg/Rob), this sounds like a really interesting mini-series, but is there a plan to do any sort of collected edition? For things of this short nature I tend to prefer those over the individual books.
I believe you can get all four issues in a graphic novel collection, I’ve seen it available online before, I’d assume you could get it at your local comic shop too.
