Quite a few trailers have been released recently for a variety of films. Some I watched, some I ignored for various reasons. Thor: The Dark World was a film whose details I ignored. I knew I’d eventually see the film, and honestly the first Thor film wasn’t anywhere near as enjoyable to me as the first two Iron Man movies or even Captain America. Not even the great scenes with Thor from the EPIC ensemble AVENGERS got me close to being “excited” about a second Thor film.
In a moment of boredom, I checked out the trailer seen below for Thor: The Dark World, and believe me when I say that it looks FAR more epic than the first. Parts of the trailer give me the impression that it seems about as epic as Lord Of The Rings: Return Of The King.
The first Thor film, the titular character was like a petulant child for the majority of the film, coming of age and figuring out how to act. In this sequel, he appears to be all grown up and a full-out warrior. But don’t just take my word for it…

I shouldn’t be surprised that this film appears to have an epic look to it. Just look at Director Alan Taylor’s resume:

- The Playboy Club (say what you will about its storylines, the directing and “look” were great)
Thor: The Dark World is set to be released in theaters on November 8th, 2013. Returning from the previous film are stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård, Idris Elba, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Jaimie Alexander, Rene Russo & Anthony Hopkins as Odin. Joining the cast are Christopher Eccleston, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Zachary Levi, and Chris O’Dowd.
